He's flinging cards at the garbage can when Wilson visits. It's a skill he's worked long to perfect when the day runs out of General Hospital reruns, and his GameBoy has beaten him too many times.
"If you stop practicing," he says without looking up, "you get rusty."
"That would be a tragedy," says Wilson dryly. "Come on, I have a patient for you to look at."
"I'll take a look if you make three baskets in a row."
Wilson takes the cards. "Give me a challenge."
"It's not as easy as it looks."
"Who's the patient?" asks House right when Wilson is about to throw a card. "Another cousin?"
"Yes, she's a cousin." Wilson sounds exasperated. He beans a card at the trashcan. It hits the edge but flies up and lands in anyway.
"Are you lying to me?"
"If you like." Wilson flings another card, which overshoots but bounces off the wall behind and into the can. "Would it matter?" Wilson asks.
"For you? No." Wilson gives him a searching look. "Well, as long as you make the next throw."
Wilson walks up to the trashcan, drops the deck in, and House follows him out of the room.
